Action Against Hunger | ACF-International works to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and advocacy.

ICT Assistant
Location : Abuja 

Position Overview: 
To support ICT Officer in ensuring that ACF Nigeria mission has well maintained, up-to-standard IT, HF/VHF radio, satellite, internet, mobile phone and GPS equipment.

Specific Objectives: 
Install or update software necessary for the work of the teams and check the validity of licences;
Install or update anti-virus programmes;
Identify computer errors and solve them.
Ensure automatic back up is done in each field office.
Ensure that ACF has adequate communications equipment, and that the required staff are properly supervised and trained in the use satellite phones or radios (HF/VHF).
Support ICT officer in managing mobile phone subscriptions and track record.
Support ICT officer in liaising with ISP on site.
Support ICT officer in managing email accounts.
Ensure the standard ACF IT Policy communication procedures are respected in the bases. Report any non-compliance to ICT Officer.
Support the ICT officer in conducting computer, radio, satphone and other equipment training as and when required.

Qualifications: 
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/ Engineering.

Essential Skills and Experience:
Fluency in English and strong knowledge of Hausa.
Min 2 years’ experience in the IT sector, in IT support.
Strong verbal, written and communication skills; approachable, diplomatic, able to maintain confidentiality ; able to work effectively in diverse, cross-cultural teams in a complex, multi-site work environment.
Computer literacy including all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, rigorous, self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility, ability to work independently.
Capacity for analysis, synthesis and reporting of large amounts of information.
Willingness to travel to other field sites.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
Previous experience working for NGOs an asset, particularly international and/or health related NGOs.
Fluency in one or more National/regional languages an asset.


Assistant Base Logistician
Location : Abuja 

Position Overview: 
Specific Objectives: 
Support the Base Logistician in management of the logistics supply chain.
Support Base Logistician in management of equipment and communication means.
Fleet management.
Security.
General Logistics Support.

Qualifications: 
Minimum of a Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Logistics, procurement, supply chain or any other equivalent course

Essential Skills and Experience:
IT/Excel literate
2 years finance/procurement work experience

Preferred Skills and Experience:
Highly motivated, and flexible.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Previous experience working with local/international NGO.
Good interpersonal skills.
