The Volunteer’s Role
The “Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme” (ECEWS) seeks to improve education and health in Nigeria.
ECEWS runs a Sexual and Reproductive Health intervention project in Cross River State. The project has various components, including the training of health workers in HIV integration and the support of a Youth Health Confidence Center.
The Sexual and Reproductive Health intervention project is funded by the United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA).
The goal of the project is to reduce the rate of sexually transmitted infections among young people and to promote family planning and HIV treatment and care across target states.
The project is in line with Cuso International’s program focus on Access to Quality Health Services that seeks to improve the capacity of organizations that provide adolescent and youth health information and services.
Support brand development and fundraising efforts
Essential Academic Qualifications
Education, certification, designation and/or courses in Business Development, Fundraising, Communications, Marketing/Adverstising and/or advocacy
Essential Professional Background/Competencies:
- Experience developing startegic business operation plans
- Demonstrated success engaging diverse audiences on a broad range of issues
- Professional fundraising experience
- Experience in development communications preferred
- Undestanding of global health issues preferred
