WordPress Graphic Designer

We are looking for a talented and passionate designer to join our team. This role will have you working on a wide variety of design projects from concept to execution, including web design, corporate branding, infographics, marketing presentations and other creative deliverables.

You will be part of a small technology and business development team, which means there is a lot of room for creativity and the opportunity to take on new and exciting responsibilities.

You’ll be a good fit if you:
• Have a solid understanding and interest in modern web layout and trends, and are always looking to create designs that are one step ahead of the curve
• Are comfortable with Adobe Creative Suite, HTML / CSS, and WordPress, and understand the importance of mobile optimization
• Have keen judgment on typography, document hierarchy, and color theory
• Are able to give constructive criticism and take it as well, working collaboratively with developers, writers and the business team.
• Are proactive in completing tasks, keeping project scope and budget in mind
• Can provide professional recommendations for concept, design, development and production of internal and client projects
• Are able to produce and manage various online materials including videos, web banner ads, web pages, micro sites, web content updates, email blasts and other design and production initiatives 
• Can take on other responsibilities as assigned 

REQUIREMENTS
• Formal education and certification in graphic design or similar field preferred
• 2 or more years of professional design experience
• Ability to take initial direction and work independently to achieve a concept
• Strong Foundation of Core Design Concepts – Grid Layout, Typographic Layout & Hierarchy
• Knowledge of Adobe Software: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver desired
• Strong HTML/CSS knowledge, experience in WordPress
• Experienced with print and web design and production
• Must be capable of working from a developed concept and translating and adapting that concept into other media such as collateral, print ads, web pages, emails, and so on
• Must be organized, reliable, detail-oriented and able to follow up on tasks
• Must be capable of multitasking, prioritizing, managing time efficiently and meeting deadlines
• Must be able to work in a professional, fast-paced and team environment
• Must be comfortable with technology and be a fast learner
• Knowledge of photography and video a plus
• Social media expertise a plus
• Creativity and strong project management skills are essential
• A high degree of passion and imagination
